I posted a link from One Green Generation sometime in the last couple weeks giving directions on how to make your own natural deodorant. Well, I’ve been using this concoction for over a week now and have been pleasantly surprised. I would have to say that it works no less than my store bought deodorant; and I live in Phoenix, AZ so I believe our heat has really put it to the test. The only complaint would be the residue left on my sleeveless shirts. Just make sure you check yourself before heading out the door.
Basically, you mix 1 part baking soda with 6 parts corn starch and you have yourself some deodorant. I added a few drops of essential jasmine oil for a nice scent but that is totally optional. I store the mixture in a small glass jar I found at the dollar store and apply with a large cosmetic brush. You can also use cotton balls or pads for application.
It feels great knowing that I can smell good without exposing myself to the harmful toxins often found in commercial deodorant.

If you add some pure coconut oil you can make it just like a solid stick of deodorant, it seems much more effective, (well for me anyway)……..I LOVE how much better is works then store bought stuff that is toxic
