Crock Pot Applesauce

Nothing says fall like the smell of cinnamon apples in the air!  I started making my own applesauce recently and it has been a real hit with the kids.  I freeze the leftovers in baby food freezer trays for quick snacks later.  Here’s the recipe I have had success with:

  • 4-5 large organic apples
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • (optional) I have seen that some people add some sugar as well.

    Apples prepped for sauce making.

  1. Slice, core, and peel apples.
  2. Combine apples slices with the water and cinnamon in the crock pot.
  3. Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Mash up apples with a potato masher.
